june gloom

California is known for it's beautiful beaches, sunny skies, and warm temperatures with just a hint of a breeze......  but what they don't tell you is that for two months out of the year when others are experiencing the joys and smells of spring...... 

Enter Gray May and June Gloom.

Tom and I went on a hike in Runyon Park, bright and early.

It's where all the celebs work out (we didn't see any) and you don't have to have your dog on a leash (which would be cool if we had a dog). But a fun little park with trails winding through the fancy homes of the Hollywood Hills.  We couldn't see the majority of the city or sights normally viewed but we could make out the Hollywood sign and found my Century City buildings - but only with my glasses on ;)

If you are ever planning on visiting during these months, never fear - - some days are better than others...

This day just so happened to not be one of them.

This just so happens to be a horrible picture of me... but it's up to prove a point.
