Jokingly, I asked the gentleman who sold it to me if I could change the voice of the navigation system because I have issues taking directions from women.. He told me to call him and he would tell me to turn to the left. I am going to miss my new friends at the car dealership.. I don't know how many say that after the whole process but I was very impressed.

Yet another step in the right direction
What is it? What is this view below..... It just so happens to be me looking through my sun roof of My brand new car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, I did it! I bought one on my own. My parents were both a very big part of the process and Thank you both very much!
This is the interior! Its a 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited. It has the GPS and the whole bit. My mom compared me to my dad saying I couldn't resist the bells and whistles. I had to explain the difference between bells and necessities. I do always find myself whistling though.

Luck of the Draw
There are many things that have happened in my life that I am not sure how or why.... but many good things seem to follow me.... This particular good thing happens to be - - - THE GRAMMYS!!!!!!!! So there I am….. after my dear friend, Miss Kortney has done her best to make me grammy-worthy (she also made me a fantastic martini) and then proceeded to do a photo shoot. Shot after shot - it was almost like prom.... but only me.And then you notice still......... only me.... plus the martini.
missing party - my date.
I gave him a call - just to check. My ride was supposed to be there at 3, no later than 3:10 - it was now 3:15..... it might not seem like much but when the grammy's are at stake and with traffic in LA, I will take no chances. Plus, he is usually early which is usually inappropriate when a gal is trying to get ready. Needless to say he didn't answer. Finally, the man picks me up and tells me he fell asleep. I would have thought differently if I didn't know him. Side note.. Earlier that day we took a million mile beach cruiser ride to Newport Beach looking at all the homes right on the beach and dreaming of the some days......... wouldn't it be nice. Then we stopped off for brunch and forgot we were on a time frame and left us with a bike race to the finish line.....against the wind mind you...

But he showed.........
and it was wonderful.... We had a blast. You can't take cameras into the show so you will just have to take my word that we actually got dressed up for a reason. I have been to many concerts in my life but am thrilled to have seen some of the performances that were there.... Stevie Wonder, BB King, Sir Paul McCartney, U2, JT, Coldplay, Smokie Robinson, Neil Diamond....... some very amazing artists put on a fantastic show.... Tommy really enjoyed himself as well except for when the people were up on stage "talking" during the performances..... I had to inform him that was rapping/hip hop - - - - but I appreciated his "innocence" i guess you could call it.. Monday, February 2, 2009
Together again
The Belmonts are still going strong.. Lizzie (seven months pregnant with lil mike), Valecia and I commenced another Belmont tour in California. We spent the majority of our time at the beach. We are really good at the beach :) But this year we tried something a bit different. We invited the girls from the wood house! - and then there was five -
Enter "WOODMONTS"
All the boys were left at home - Kortney even got Rob to leave us their apartment. Not that there was much room for him anyways - Valecia still 'knows' how to pack. But with four sets of luggage and five girls there isn't much room for anything or anyone.
We literally sat on the beach almost the whole time. My friend thought we were crazy - "it's winter!" Not for people who come from the North, its not.
It was nothing but blue skies and good times.
We laughed a lot. We talked a lot. We smiled a lot.
I think its cuz we like each other a lot.
We went to the famous Pinks for chili hot dogs. They weren't that good - I prefer Oscar Meyer myself, or even better - the ones you used to get at 7/11 that really were pink.
