Ape-pulls and Ba-nay-nays

I have been eating abnormally large fruit these days - not sure why, but the bigger the better. 

Tuesday, my fruit of choice was an abnormally large apple.  This being the fourth apple of this type I had eaten, I was looking forward to it.  Juicy, crispy - pretty much the perfect apple. 

I cut the apple in half because it was much too large to eat otherwise (and no sarah, I did not wash the apple).  I then began cutting slices but I only cut one at a time and then eat the one slice. 

I cut one, then two. 

Then three, then four.  

I am eating my apple and I am happy.

Then I start looking at my apple.  The portion where the seeds are held was white, then I looked closer, it was furry - a furry whiteness on the inside of my apple.
Then I found what I think/am almost 100% positive was a worm.   (the  little red thing above).

Yet again all of this on the inside on my half eaten apple. 
From then on I decided to stay away from abnormally large fruit.

Today I was eating a banana - an average sized, yellow banana..

And I saw this...  Whatever it is, I am sure it was not supposed to be there.  I have eating bananas for awhile now and never seen the likes of the stem protuding from my banana.   And again of course, all was noticed after I had consumed said banana......

From now on, I will not buy fruit from Ralphs, somethings up.
